No doubt about
it becoming engaged is exciting.
You get to think about all sorts of things youve never focused
on before: karats and cakes, engravings and officiants, typefaces,
tiaras, table settings and how the heck youre going to get
it all together in time. But daunting as it may seem, planning a
wedding does not have to involve the strategic complexity of, say
an expedition up the Congo. It can even be fun! Just remember three
basic rules of thumb:
- Get a sense of the big picture. As with any project, you cant
get started until you know exactly what youre up against.
So once you and your fiance discuss the basics the date, time,
style, and budget of the wedding buy yourself a wedding planner.
Knowing when you need to tackle certain tasks will give you a
general game plan that should keep your fairly calm.
- Get him involved. Even if he doesnt go with you to every
appointment, knowing that hes there to share your thoughts,
discuss options, and let you blow off steam will keep your relationship
on track. (The last thing you want is to start resenting the person
you are marrying.)
- Delegate. For lots of women, this is the most difficult part
of all control freaks have a hard time ceding even the smalled
detail to someone else, and hyper-sensitive souls worry that theyre
imposing themselves on others. No matter how professional or profieincent
they are! Either hire a wedding consultant to help you out, the
truth is that if someone volunteers her time, shes probably
serious about it, accept with joy and gratitude!
The good news is, we are here to help too! Any thing we can do
to make life easier! We offer as much or as little help and guidence
as you feel you may need! Our services are truly priceless!
Our Philosophy is that you should enjoy every moment of your engagement.
The appointments and attention to details that are part of planning
a wedding should not detract from time you spend with each other,
family, and friends. Allow us to take away the worry, the stress
and the chores ~ Permit your self to relish this once-in-a-lifetime
event!
A final note: Regardless of what happens in the whirlwind leading
up to the wedding do not, under any circumstances, forget to breath!
Blessings in love,
Melissa Margarita-DiStefano
