January Wedding in Gainesville

I had the pleasure of working with Kaitlyn & Victor for over a year planning their January wedding in Gainesville, and had the best time getting to know them. Through Covid and all the changes that made, they always stayed positive and looked for the silver lining. They had the most lovely day with their ceremony at the Baughman Center & Cade Museum Reception.

Kaitlyn got ready in the cottages at Sweetwater Branch Inn. It's curtains and sunroom area made for the perfect spot for a big reveal! First looks with your ladies can be so much fun. I completely fell head over heels for Kaitlyn's girls' mint skirts with all differently styled tops. How much do you love Kaitlyn's lace Tom's?! All the bridesmaids had them too and were SO comfy all day long. If you look close you can see the different layers of Kaitlyn's gorgeous gown. There were oodles of them with all different fabrics and lace - it was such a beautiful effect!

Kaitlyn & Victor wanted to keep their vows to each other private and special. We helped them schedule in time before their ceremony, just between the two of them, (and their photography team as well) for this quiet moment.

For a January wedding in Gainesville, there's nothing like the Baughman Center for a ceremony. Overlooking Lake Alice, the setting couldn't be prettier. We helped them decorate the aisle with 1 Corinthians signs, made by our talented bride.

Their unity glass ceremony was something I've been hoping a couple of mine would do for so long. Instead of sand, they used pieces of glass that are then fired to make a special keepsake. Kaitlyn just sent me this photo of their finished piece. I'm blown away by how amazing it is! Check out Unity in Glass by Lee Ware for more information.

Kaitlyn & Victor's reception was at the Cade Museum in downtown Gainesville, next to Depot Park. It's such an awesome & unique venue with stunning views of the park and it's lovely pond.

We did something fun - we had their bridal party and the new Mr. & Mrs. announced into their Cocktail Hour where they got to mingle with guests and play the Shoe Game. When the party moved upstairs for dinner, they did their First Dance. It's always great to mix things up!

There's nothing like a Sparkler Exit to end the night!

Congratulations Kaitlyn & Victor! I'm over the moon that we had the privilege of being a part of your January wedding in Gainesville!
